Microsoft | Software Engineering/Product Management Intern | Summer 2016
I spent the summer interning at Microsoft on the Enterprise and Security team, rotating through Product Management and Software Engineering roles. By the end of the summer, I had successfully completed an end-to-end console application using C#, .NET APIs, and a SQL backend. While in Seattle, I also did a lot of fun things, such as hiking Mt. Rainier, eating an unhealthy amount of Elleanos yogurt, and participating in a 36 hour puzzle hunt.
Girls Who Code UW-Madison | Founder and Facilitator | August 2016 - Present
I founded the first Girls Who Code club on the UW-Madison campus. Every week I teach a group of 15 middle school girls how to code, while exposing them to the power of sisterhood.
Wisconsin Union Directorate Film Committee | Director of Festival Programming | August 2016 - Present
As the Director of Festival Programming for WUD Film, I am in charge of planning three film festivals throughout the year while managing our $8000 budget. I received a grant to travel to Sundance Film Festival in order to seek out innovative programming for my tenure. I can be seen speaking about our fall festival here.
